There are no true dancehall artistes in Ghana.
Ghanaian musician Epixode, known in real life as Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo has remarked there are no dancehall artistes in Ghana.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana, he claimed that in Ghana, there is nothing like a dancehall artiste.
Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, and Epixode, according to a video obtained by Ghcurtis.com, are not dancehall artistes.
He stated that they are all enjoying the titles and traits bestowed upon them by the people.
Epixode, for example, remarked that his admirers refer to him as “the Energy God,” but that while possessing the energy, he has not yet achieved the level of being labeled a God.
He made it clear that titles like Dancehall King, African Dancehall King, and others are simply that: titles.
