Ghana’s top rapper Manifest has lauded the Kumasi-based Asakaa Boys, one of the country’s most well-known musical groups who have gained a lot of exposure and streams thanks to their songs and music videos.
After launching their hit banger ‘Akatafo)’ in 2020, the Asakaa Boys went viral, with many top celebrities both local and international responding to their music. They later cemented their place in the Ghanaian music scene by appearing on Yaw Tog’s “Sore” song.
The community is made up of many young and energetic rappers with famous names such as Bra Benk (formerly known as Benk Money), O’Kenneth, Jay Bahd, City Boy, Kwaku DMC, Reggie, and others who are signed to Life Living Records.
In a tweet about the group, Manifest said that they were able to revitalize the Hip Hop music scene in Ghana and Africa at a time when Afrobeats was overwhelming the music scene.
