It takes a certain amount of bravery for a rival musician to recognize the other, particularly after one of the most bitter feuds ever documented in Ghana music history.
Stonebwoy recently revealed in an interview that Shatta Wale works extremely hard on his craft, which has resulted in his consistent success over the years.
Stonebwoy was interviewed by Sharon Carpenters and Etana Music about a variety of topics, including his notorious protracted beef with Shatta Wale, which reached a boiling point at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Stonebwoy responded to some of the questions by saying, “My rivalry with Shatta wale (Shatta Movement) is the greatest rivalry in Jamaica after Vybes Kartel and Movado.”
He went on to say, “Big ups to Shatta Wale himself.” He’s doing so well for himself, and we’re all helping to put Ghana on the map. I’m proud of him, and I know he’s proud of me.”
