The Grammy winner got into a Twitter spat with conservative pundit Candace Owens on Tuesday.
It all stems from Owens’ presence on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show on Monday, during which she attacked Cardi B and Megan Thy Stallion’s racy success of their hit single “WAP” at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
You won’t be surprised by the stripper pole, suggestive costumes, or the two rappers getting tight on a giant bed during the show if you know what “WAP” stands for.
Owens saw it as a “assault on American ideals and customs,” and accused the singers of “actually attempting to make children aspire to things that are disgusting” through their prime-time performance.
“In America, we’re celebrating perversity,” Owens said.
Cardi B first posted the video of her presence on her verified Twitter account, saying “Yaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Wap wap wap wap wap wap wap wap wap wap wa”
“Matter of fact, I’m just going to thank Candy (Owens) for putting my show on Fox News, which gave it more views, which increased the views on YouTube and is counting against my streams and sales,” the rapper tweeted. “STREAM UP AND WAP STREAM UP AND WAP STREAM UP AND WAP STREAM UP AND WAP STREAM UP REMEMBER, GROWN PARENTS, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN Control WHAT YOUR CHILDREN WATCH.”

Things soon devolved, though, when Owens and Cardi B exchanged tweets on anything from ethnicity and gender politics to each other’s spouses.
The majority of what was said is not appropriate for family use, but suffice it to say there were some nudes involved, and it concluded in both women taking legal action against each other.
