“Some Of You Are Beat Makers, Not Producers” Efia Odo Tells Producers Accusing Shatta Wale Of Not Paying Them,

Efia Odo, a social media celebrity and product influencer, believes that the majority of Ghana’s self-proclaimed music producers are only beat makers, not professional music producers.
She made her comment as an opinion contribution to the ongoing exchange of words between music producers and musicians, with Dancehall artist Shatta Wale and MOG being the most prominent.

On the record, Efia Odo is a known publically to be a Shatta Wale’s friend.

Taking to her twitter account, she tweeted

“Some of all ain’t producers, y’all just beat makers. Making beats doesn’t qualify you as producer. Producing Music is a whole production and you are head of production.”

MOG, a well-known music producer, has confirmed that after recording ten (10) songs for Dancehall Artist Shatta Wale’s new album, the Reign Album, he has yet to be charged.
Shatta Wale defended himself as well, showing screenshots of money transactions he sent to MOG for the songs he recorded for him on the Reign Album, for which he charged GHC 1,000.00 per production.

Rapper Sarkodie was also slammed by legendary music producer Zap Mallet last year over the rapper’s failure to compensate him for making a song for him.

Efia Odo is one of the Ghanaian music lovers who has added her voice to the conversation.
