Real News presenter on UTV, Akrobeto revealed that he had been advised by an industry player not to act along with ‘almighty’ Agya Koo, otherwise he would never carve a niche for himself in Kumawood.
The veteran actor, who is unquestionably one of Kumawood’s best actors, told 1Ghana in an exclusive interview that the priceless advice paid off as Agya Koo was the biggest star in that era for a considerable period of time.
Recalling the incidents that led to his shine and break, Akrobeto revealed that it was through the advice and guidance given to him by the CEO of Miracle Films Production, Mr Samuel Nyamekye, that he paved the way for him to make a name for himself.
“Oh, Mr. Nyamekye truly advised me not to go to the set with Agya Koo, because he was already at the top, and anyone who acts alongside him will not shine. Again, he made me reject any role that Agya Koo had inside, not because he hated him, but because he wanted to give me a platform to gain ground in the country,” he said.
