Shatta Wale is not thinking about endorsing any political party prior to the December elections because he is expensive for them.
This past week saw two of Ghana’s popular musicians endorse the New Patriotic Party and President Akufo-Addo for a second term.
Samini and Sarkodie praised the work of Akufo-Addo and have encouraged Ghanaians to keep them in power.
Reacting to this, Shatta Wale, who performed for National Democratic Congress and John Mahama at a rally four years ago, said on Hello FM, political parties do not have the right amount for him.
Shatta Wale said he is expensive compared to the others who have easily been bought. For him, it will be difficult for any political party to provide the cash for him to publicly endorse them.
“If they want to convince me to do it, they have to come to my terms… Political parties are not my type of thing…I’m so expensive for a political party; they can’t pay me….if they want to approach me; it’s going to be a very difficult thing. If they want to convince me to do it they have to come to my terms but it’s not my thing.”
