Life can be unfair and unpleasant and that was the situation of Mr Music Mensah when he tried to set himself free from the shackles of lack and poverty. The story of how he rose from a smelly room to a blessed place of glory is an inspiration to both the young and the old, and up-coming artistes.

In 1998, young Mensah traveled all the way from his native city of Kumasi to the Nation’s capital of Accra to continue his hustle to good life. His uncle, then an owner of a public toilet and bath, characteristic of Ashanti, uncles gave him an accommodation and a job.

However, both the accommodation and the job happened to be right beside a public toilet in the celebrated Old Timers Spot area of Adabraka. The stench was unbearable morning, afternoon and evening, and night time was no exception. What was supposed to be a solution to his long years of hustle became a nightmare of shame and discomfort.

But he knew his star was going to shine one day and better days were one day going to come from the Lord. He never gave up. Through thin and thick, he fought on and today he has four urban gospel tracks to his credit including Blessing, Missy, Great God, You are God, and Thirty Billion. He currently lives in the United States of America.
